Monica Clark
Co-Founder

Monica is a strong advocate for maternal and child health, driven by a deep personal commitment to improving healthcare outcomes. Based in Australia, Monica's journey as a mother of two with significant health challenges has ignited her passion for creating lasting change in the healthcare landscape. With nearly 20 years of experience in corporate business, including strategic marketing, business management and development, Monica brings a wealth of expertise.

Striving for continuous improvement and pushing the innovative boundaries, Monica is bringing together medical teams, researchers and practitioners to improve understanding of the impact of nutritional deficiencies in breast milk. Her personal experience with her children's health challenges has fuelled her determination to prevent others from enduring similar difficulties. Monica’s unique blend of business acumen and personal insight positions her to reach her goals: to reduce deficiencies, improve health outcomes, and enhance the future of healthcare for mothers and children alike.

Alexandra (Sasha) Karpova
Co-Founder

Sasha is a UK-based mother of two, driven by a personal journey through her children’s complex health challenges. With a PhD in Management and a background in Social Sciences, her path has evolved toward the science of nutrition and metabolism — uncovering how overlooked nutrient imbalances can shape health outcomes across the family system.

Now working at the intersection of research, education, and lived experience, Sasha is committed to bridging the gap between families and science. Through Clarisen and Clarisen Research, she’s helping to reframe how we understand and respond to chronic and neurodevelopmental conditions — not just with more data, but with deeper insight, compassion, and systems thinking.

Her next step: a second PhD focused on nutrient regulation and metabolic health in autism, contributing to a future where science truly serves the families who need it most.

Sandy Richardson
Non-Executive Director

Raised in Scotland and now based in London, Sandy is a devoted father of two and a long-time friend of our founding team. His passion for family wellbeing and belief in equitable access to health tools led him to join Clarisen as a Non-Executive Director.

With a BSc in Biological Sciences and a sharp mind for systems and strategy, Sandy brings both scientific grounding and years of experience in people-focused leadership roles. While his own family hasn’t faced major health challenges, becoming a parent deepened his commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of raising healthy children in today’s world.

Sandy is especially passionate about making it easier for families to access trustworthy, practical knowledge — and believes that no parent should have to do it alone. His presence on the team reflects both his integrity and his vision: to help build a world where families are equipped not just to cope, but to thrive.
